EMS

The Watertown Fire Department proudly provides Advanced Life Support (ALS) emergency medical services at the paramedic level. Since initiating EMS operations in 1975, the department has served the City of Watertown and portions of Dodge and Jefferson Counties. In 1993, Watertown became the first fire department in both counties to offer paramedic-level care, setting a standard for advanced prehospital services in the region.

All Watertown firefighters are cross-trained and licensed by the State of Wisconsin as EMS providers, ensuring a seamless integration of fire suppression and emergency medical response. The department currently staffs 27 firefighter/EMS providers. Medical oversight is provided through a partnership with Watertown Regional Medical Center.
