Plan Commission Information
The Plan Commission meets the second and fourth Mondays of the month at 4:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers.
Members of the Planning Commission include:
Mayor
City Engineer
City Zoning Administrator
Alderperson
Park, Recreation & Forestry Representative
3 City of Watertown Citizens
The following list are the more common items requiring Plan Commission review or approval:
Rezoning is reviewed by the Plan Commission and approved or denied by the Common Council. This includes Planned Unit Developments.
All new subdivision.
Naming of streets
Street or alley vacations
Sign appeals
Conditional Use Permits for items such as:
1. Group daycare centers
2. Bed & Breakfast establishments
3. Community Based Residential Facilities (CBRF's)
4. Boarding Houses
5. Group Development
6. Institutional Residential Development
7. Any type of outdoor display
8. Outdoor Maintenance
9. In-vehicle Sales or Service
10. Commercial Entertainment
11. Commercial Indoor Lodging
12. Mobil Home Subdivision Residential Development
13. Mobil Home Park Residential Development
14. Wireless Telecommunication Towers and Antennas
At minimum, the following should be provided with any submittal:
1) The application form found at here
2) The appropriate fees (payable via cash, check made payable to "City of Watertown" or card (additional service fees apply to card payments).
3) One digital plan set either on a thumb drive or emailed to nzimmerman@watertownwi.gov.
4) A brief description of the proposed project.
