Just in time for Pumpkin season and fall festivals, the City of Watertown is inviting residents and visitors to explore the farms, farmstands, orchards, and other agricultural destinations that make the Watertown area special. A new interactive tour map is now available as a guide to discovering local places to stop, shop, and experience agriculture firsthand.
Agriculture is part of Watertown’s history, identity, and future. The self-guided farm and agritourism tour gives residents and visitors an opportunity to experience that heritage while supporting the local farms and businesses that help make the Watertown area unique.
The tour features two types of locations:
• Farmstands — Find local farmstands offering fresh produce, seasonal products, flowers, eggs, baked goods, and other farm-fresh items.
• Farms & Orchards — Discover larger farms, orchards, and agritourism destinations where visitors can experience more of what local agriculture has to offer.
Every location on the map is clickable. Selecting a location displays helpful information, including the name, address, website or Facebook profile, and phone number when available.
Before heading out, visitors are encouraged to check the location’s website or Facebook profile for current hours of operation and other details. Many agricultural businesses operate seasonally or have hours that vary throughout the year.
There is no set route and no schedule to follow. Residents and visitors can explore the map, choose their stops, and create their own self-guided tour of the farms and agricultural destinations around Watertown.
See what’s nearby. Pick your stops. Take the tour.
The City encourages everyone to start their tour and discover what’s growing around Watertown. The interactive farm and agritourism map is available on the City’s website at https://www.watertownwi.gov/page/farm-stands
